A huge shout out to these amazing SA Future Thinkers using tech & hard work to make business happen in the realm of future farming. This video inspired hope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wx0_sxevww&t=8s

Their website: https://www.vegethentic.co.za/ – Website is no longer online.

I was so excited to hear SANParks and WWF plan to open up a 30 000 hectare nature reserve in the Eastern Cape near Lesotho.

I love that area so much.

***

Nigeria will soon have its own cryptocurrency called the eNaira.

***

In an interesting move, Chinas government has recently restricted children to set hours for PC and Video games. The duration differs depending on the article, but it appears to be as little as 1-3 hours a week.

****

Facebook and partners are set to build a huge (37000 kilometer) sub-sea cable around Africa. See post image. The scope of this project is so impressive.

Excellent online reputations for:

****

It has been reported there are two TV show set to be created including scenes filmed in space! How exciting is that. The Discovery Channel has an idea called “who Wants to Be an Astronaut”

Me, I do!

Pitty I am so awful at Math.

Hackers who managed to take about 600 million USD of Bitcoin and Ethereum from Poly Network have returned just about all of their stolen plunder. Apparently they did it for fun.

But, not everyone is as lucky! Do you have a plan for when you are a victim of an e-attack? See my article: https://www.jeanpierremurraykline.co.za/e-security-a-serious-business-responsibility-by-the-internet-expert/

A quick shout out for an awsum and upcoming e-event!

* Innovationsummit2021 *

21st-23rd September 2021.

Why are these sorts of e-events important?

Excellent question and well done for being such a questioning human. The answer is that at these sorts of ‘e-spots’ you are going to find people sharing ideas that can help us save our planet… and also help with your business, and basically be a better e-person.

Check out the programme and speakers here: https://innovationsummit.co.za/programme-speakers-2021/

While the media has reported on the ‘testing’ of such tech, I predict we will see ‘no queues’ and ‘no cashiers’ in a number of major retail outlets in South Africa within the next 12 months. This is all part of ‘automation’ trend and I have written about how people need to adapt to remain employed in the Future World. Change is coming, get cracking please. I can’t deal with anymore unemployment in South Africa.

***

Well done to the African Reclaimers Organisation who were recently honoured by the WWF for their work. ‘Reclaimers’ is the name we have given to those people who walk the streets and suburbs, collecting types of rubbish, to recycle them. Two nuggets I was not expecting to learn this year:

  1. Cell C made a R2,36 billion profit.
  2. Eskom has cut their debt by a lot! Like billions.

How? I don’t know. Umlingo.

Either way, well done.

*** That’s wrap! Remember to share news.
